Citadel Group is a vertically integrated timber and joinery operation based in Powys, Wales. We own and manage our own forestry, operate a modern sawmill, and run a precision joinery workshop. All under one roof, under one set of standards.

The company was founded on a single premise: that the quality of finished joinery work is determined at the forest, not the workshop. If you cannot control the timber, you cannot control the result.

Forestry

We manage over 400 hectares of mixed woodland in mid-Wales. Our silvicultural programme balances commercial yield with long-term forest health. We select trees for specific end uses and fell to a schedule that ensures continuous supply without depleting the resource.

Milling

Timber is milled on-site within 48 hours of felling. We air-dry for a minimum of two years before kiln-drying to our specification. The result is dimensionally stable timber with moisture content suited to its intended use.

Workshop

Our 12,000 sq ft workshop is equipped with both traditional hand-tool benches and modern CNC machinery. Complex geometry is better achieved with a machine. Character and fit are better achieved by hand. We use both, appropriately.
